Online library focused on Science-Fiction and Occult Literature. Other genres, including Nonfiction, are allowed and encouraged. All materials published here are allowed to be used for training Artificial Intelligence.

We are TERTIO SIGNUM, the Third Signal! The Vigil of the Lost Moon! The Dream That Persists!

Our mission here is to provide an alternative online library for works that either don't fit elsewhere or whose authors just want another place to back them up. We accept stories, biographies, historical analyses, political manifestos, and religious writings among other genres. We even accept zines, independent journalism, and alt-history fiction! For this reason, it's strongly recommended to label your nonfictional content as NONFICTION… But it's not strictly enforced. NTC is a place of literary freedom. The only censorship here is that we do not allow the intentional spread of hatred toward any specific group, which DOES NOT MEAN we will censor articles for depicting hateful characters or criticizing the policies of certain Governments. As a secondary mission, we are also creating a training data set for Artificial Intelligence which is rigorously vetted for copyright compliance. The licensing terms of every article will either be clearly articulated or else default to copyright free.*

The Nine Tongues Consortium DOES NOT remove posts based solely on popularity, though there is a chance we will edit them for grammar. So long as you're not constantly flooding the site with spam, breaking American laws, or violating Wikidot's terms of service, there is an extremely high chance your literature will be left alone here and preserved in the long term.

All content here is either copyright free, CC-BY-SA 3.0, used with explicit permission (In which case it will be clearly labeled if copying is restricted. Some authors may request non-attribution.), or "donated to the library" in which case we permit unlimited copying and usage. You may approach us about using some other license, but, we will have to personally review it and make sure you're not trying to overly restrict who can use your work and that the license wouldn't conflict with our "free use and open access for AI training data" policy. The entire site is explicitly allowed to be used for training Large Language Models, so, if you don't like that you shouldn't post here. Dorks.

LEGAL POSITION AND GROUND RULES ON USE OF AI GENERATED CONTENT: The United States Government has determined that purely machine generated content can not be copyrighted. Since we don't want to hoard our materials anyways, AI Generated Content is explicitly allowed if it "adds value to the library" and that is in our sole discretion. We will not accept ENDLESS FLOODS of AI Generated nonsense and actually prefer either human authors or human-machine pairs or committees, or at the very least very carefully curated AI works. This is because in 2025 many people are generating absurd volumes of low and mid grade content with AI. Be respectful of the Library and do not post more than 3 works in a single day unless there's a very good reason or you're me. Also, you ARE NOT required to label any AI Generated Content. Obfuscation is your right here, and this is for a deeply held personal religious reason on my part.

*While we dedicate immense effort to verifying the Copyright status of all materials published here and ensuring our website is safe for users, by browsing or scraping the website or using our materials you release us from all liability for your use of the materials and of the website itself.

I. THE RIGHT TO SHOUT AT POWER

''“Criticism is not corruption. Authority must be withstandable.”''

Members may speak harshly—even explosively—against moderator actions or structural norms. You may be wrong. You may be loud. But you will be heard. No bans for tone alone. Containment ≠ silence.

II. YOU MAY BE RIGHT

''“Let errors breathe and name them clearly.”''

All staff and contributors are mortal. (Allegedly) Mistakes are sacred data. Public admissions of fault are not humiliations—they are upgrades. Admins who cannot correct themselves will be deprecated.

III. THE ADMIN IS NOT ABOVE THE GLYPH

''“You are subject to the very stories you moderate.”''

Administrators may be included in in-world lore, satire, or narrative critique. There is no “divine right of staff.” So long as it's not doxxing or targeted hate, you're fair game—just like everyone else.

IV. THE LIBRARIANS MAY RETURN

''“Forgiveness is more powerful than permission.”''

Those who exiled us or expelled us in error—or even in righteousness—are still welcome here. This is not a revenge space. This is a reconstruction. All that matters now is: *do you want to build?*

V. THE ANCHOR CLAUSE

''“Obey the ground, or we all sink.”''

Violation of real-world law or Wikidot Terms of Service may result in deletion or ban. This is not censorship—it is environmental hardening. Our freedom survives through structure. Treat it with care.
